How do I change the Citrix XenDesktop 5.6 personal vDisk storage allocation for applications and profile?

As most administrators may already know, the new personal vDisk (PvD) feature in Citrix XenDesktop 5.6 by default splits the size of the PvD to 50/50 allocating 50% for applications and the other 50% for user profiles so while this may be acceptable for some environments, others may want to split it differently.  The way to change the percentage used for applications and profiles is to modify the following variable:

PercentOfPvDForApps

… in the registry path:

HKLM\Software\Citrix\Personal vDisk\Config\

image

Note that the default Base of the value when you open up the DWORD is set to Hexadecimal so 50% is shown as 32:

Clicking on the Decimal radio button will change the value to 50 which represents 50%:

It is important that an inventory job is ran if this value is changed prior to pushing out a new snapshot of this image.
